Dr Hafiz Muhammed obtained his MBBS, MS General Surgery and MCh Plastic Surgery training from the reputed Calicut Medical College, Kerala, India. He worked briefly as Lecturer in Neurosurgery and later as Lecturer in General Surgery before obtaining his Speciality training in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. He was conferred the prestigious Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (FRCS Ed), UK. He was extensively trained in plastic surgical subspecialties at many reputed centres . He had been clinical observer at various premier centres including Ganga Hospital Coimbatore, Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai, Specialists’ Hospital Ernakulam and Dept. of Hand Surgery, Stanley Medical College Chennai during his training period. He went on to obtain his fellowship in Reconstructive Microsurgery from Amrita Institute, Kochi.
After completion of speciality training he went on to work as Senior Resident at Nizam’s Institute of Medical Sciences Hyderabad. He was Consultant Plastic Surgeon at Malabar Institute of Medical Sciences Calicut for more than 11 years from 2005 to 2016 and honorary Reconstructive surgeon at Malabar cancer center, Thalassery for 5 years between 2010 and 2015. He had worked for brief periods as Locum consultant in the dept of plastic surgery at Hamad Medical Corporation , Doha, Qatar in2014, 2016 and 2017.
Presently Dr. Hafiz Muhammed is attached to Baby Memorial Hospital, Calicut as Senior Consultant and visits Chest Hospital, Calicut and Calicut Center for Surgery, MICC, Calicut. He is director of Aesthetic Surgery services of Cutis Institute, Calicut
